If your brunch craving hits you before Sunday, never fear. The Daily Tavern supports you by holding brunch Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Being led out to the patio can be concerning in January, but since it is covered and heated with blankets provided if necessary in such a quaint, cute space – all is good. Cheers to that, thanks to the DIY mimosa bar!
After we went through and created our own mimosa’s with the multiple juice and fruit options, it was decision time. Luckily, we had an awesome group of foodies who all agreed to get different entrees and share. My favorite way to eat, honestly! Starting out with the white cheddar biscuits with honey butter and pepper jelly + fried pickles is suggested.
The entrees started rolling in, and the Steak & Eggs dish immediately caught my eye. Sliced hanger steak with chimichurri butter, sunny side egg, and baguette. The meat portion was incredible as well as the taste. Their home fries are sweet potato which was a pleasant surprise.
The Roasted Chicken Club is massive! Smoked bacon, triple creme cheese, bibb lettuce, tomato, sweet basil mayo, toast and comes with fries. There is nothing quite like a stacked sandwich.
The Daily Mac will take you back to your favorite drive-thru if you grew up on those like I did as a kid. House-ground double burger, jack cheese, lettuce, onion, pickle, sesame seed bun served with fries. Another massive option.
This is the cutest display of French Toast Casserole. With pecan streusel, maple mascarpone, cherrywood bacon – it is almost too pretty to eat. But almost doesn’t count, as Brandy taught us very early in life.
I am not an avid Avocado Toast-er, but this version of it. Is everything. Avocado, pepper flakes, bacon, egg, toast. The bacon was not expected!
The Daily certainly has a tavern atmosphere, and the food is outstanding. Their dinner is equally delicious as well. Big thanks to @finickylady and @thedailytavern for having me! Who is ready to brunch the weekend away?
